Shirley Ruth Visser (Baker)

Our precious and dear mother, Shirley Ruth Visser (Baker) passed away on December 24, 2022, in Red Deer, AB, at the age of 85.
She was born in Newmarket Ontario on Aug 6, 1937 to Milburn and Mary Baker.
She is predeceased by her older sister Noreen and has a younger brother Edward.
She married Otto Visser in 1954 and they lived together in the Red Deer area for the majority of their married life. Shirley is survived by six children: Charlene (Sherry) Stang (Eric), of Red Deer; Deborah Taylor, of Red Deer; David Visser (Perry), of Toronto; Judy Golen, of Louisianna; Timothy Visser (Lorry), of Red Deer; Danielle Randell (husband Matt), of Okotoks , along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband in 1995.
Her favorite hobbies were spending countless hours riding her horse, playing bingo and watching her two favourite sports teams, the Edmonton Oilers and, the Toronto Blue Jays. She never missed a game.
Shirley was a devoted, loving and caring mother who was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind beautiful memories.

To guide us when we are lost
And need that gentle nudge
That can only come from you.
Shirley never wanted to be the centre of attention, and her wishes were not to have a funeral services.
