Sheila Ismay Bradner of Red Deer AB passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on February 25, 2023 at the age of 93 years.
Sheila was born in Oak River, MB but moved to the Mighty Peace area where she met Laverne. They lived in Peace River, AB for many years. Upon retirement, Sheila and Laverne relocated to Sylvan Lake and then Red Deer, AB. Their winters were often spent in Arizona.
Sheila was an avid and accomplished golfer and curler and a gifted ‘crafter’. Since moving to Aspen Ridge in 2017 she took great pleasure in being part of the team that made Issy dolls; dolls that were sent to children in crisis zones around the world.
Sheila had a generous heart and a ready sense of humour. She was a good friend. Sheila will be missed by her many friends, her nieces and nephews and especially by her honorary godchildren; Bob and Greg Claughton of Peace River and Lynda Hoffman of Calgary. Sheila was predeceased by her husband Laverne in 2013 as well as three brothers, several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Sheila’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Sheila will be cremated and at a later date her urn interred in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Peace River AB
