Sandy Bartoli Sandy Bartoli, born June 17, 1960, in Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at the age of 66, after a short but difficult battle with cancer.
She made her home in Red Deer, AB. Sandy was a strong, caring, and independent woman with a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She spent her younger years growing up between Calgary and Clareshom but graduated from Willow Creek Composite High School in 1979. She began her Nursing Diploma at the University of Lethbridge in 1980 and completed it at Red Deer College in 1983. Sandy upgraded and built her career as a Registered Nurse in various places, but especially in Paediatrics and the NICU at Red Deer Regional Hospital. Her compassion and dedication touched not only the lives of many patients during her 44 years of nursing, but also her co-workers and friends.
Sandy is lovingly remembered by her four children, Blaine Bartoli, Chantelle (Jamie) Plumley, Devon (Ashley) Bartoli, and Tyson Bartoli, and her three grandchildren, Lucas, Leon, and Maggie.
Family was important to Sandy, and she showed her love through her support, generosity, and care of them. She also had a special love for animals of all kinds, including her dogs and cats, donkeys, ponies, and the many other creatures that found their way into her life. Sandy enjoyed being active in her community, coaching children in sports and volunteering her time with many organizations including Autism Society of Central AB, Aspire, and Special Olympics Summer Games. She was always willing to lend a hand. Sandy’s Christian faith was an important part of her life. She found meaning in her relationship with God, knowing Jesus as her Saviour. She showed the love of Christ by serving others. Sandy will be remembered for her strength, generosity, humor, compassion, and the many ways she cared for others. She leaves behind cherished memories that will remain with those who knew and loved her.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on October 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Living Stones Church in Red Deer, Alberta.
