.
Rosaire was born on March 17, 1940, in Saint-Luc, Quebec. From humble beginnings, he developed the values that guided much of his life—hard work, perseverance, and dedication to family.
On October 25, 1960, Rosaire married the love of his life, Monique Therrien. Together they shared an extraordinary 65 years of marriage, building a life grounded in commitment, sacrifice, and family.
In their early years together, Rosaire and Monique moved to Thompson, Manitoba, where they began raising their family. Those early years required long hours and determination as they worked to build a stable life for their family. Rosaire worked as an accountant and bookkeeper and was known for his careful and methodical approach to his work. He valued accuracy and took pride in doing things properly, always ensuring that the numbers balanced and records were kept in order.
During their years in Thompson, Rosaire and Monique welcomed their two sons, Robin and Jean. After eleven years in Thompson, the family spent a short time in Granby, Quebec, before eventually settling in Red Deer, Alberta, where Rosaire and Monique made their home.
Rosaire was a quiet and introspective man who appreciated the comfort of home and the peace of solitude. He enjoyed the simple routines of life and spent time making wine, a hobby he quietly took pleasure in over the years. Faith was also an important part of Rosaire’s life and provided a source of personal reflection and guidance.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Monique; his sons Robin (Karen) and Jean (Cindy); his grandsons Daniel and Nathan (Katrina); his great-grandsons Theo and Simon; and his sisters Anne-Marie, Aline, and Rolande.
Rosaire was predeceased by his parents, Marie-Anne Blouin and Majorique Levasseur; his brothers Raymond and George; and his sister Marie-Jeanne.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Rosaire will be cremated following the service.
Rosaire will be remembered as a man who lived a quiet and thoughtful life—one marked by dedication to his family, careful work, and an appreciation for the quieter moments of life. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
