Roberta Galenzoski

Roberta passed away on January 11, 2024 surrounded by her family at the Foothills Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents, Amedeo and Milena Alzetta. Roberta will be lovingly remembered by her family, husband Malcolm; children Jennifer (Cory), Cassandra (Matt), Nicholas (Amanda) and Alexandra; grandchildren Emerson and Atlas; siblings Davide (Terri) and Michela, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Roberta was a true ray of sunshine with a feisty Italian personality who devoted her life to her children and gave love without condition. She was a passionate hockey fan and often found in hockey rinks throughout her life, whether it was watching her kids play, cheering for the Edmonton Oilers or attending Red Deer Rebels games.

Roberta took immense pride in anything she did, including her 15+ years working at Nutrien, volunteering with organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, Smiles Thru Lindsey Foundation, CACAC, Mustard Seed, and Red Deer Kinettes Club, which became her extended family. She spent her free time making memories, going on countless adventures, and sharing stories with her great group of friends.

Family and friends wishing to honor Roberta are invited to make memorial donations to the Smiles Thru Lindsey Foundation through the Red Deer & District Community Foundation.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 19 at 1:00pm at St. Mary’s Parish, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, internment to follow at Alto Reste Cemetery.
