Robert (Bob) Gunderman (age 81) of Red Deer, AB, Passed away after a brief stay at the Michener Long Term Care Center. Bob received many phone farewell calls from his family and friends, and passed away peacefully with some of his family by his side and wrapped in the loving arms of his wife Orilea Colins of 33 years.

Bob is survived by his four children: Valerie (Keith) Robertson of Red Deer, AB., Ken Gunderman, Pam (Brad) Weinrauch of Provost, AB., Neil (Linda) of Calgary, AB., and his children’s natural mother, Norma Gunderman, who he always spoke well of: as well as 8 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Peggy (Butch) and 3 brothers Les (Mary), Terry (Shelley) and Michael (Christine); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Bob was predeceased by his parents William and Marion and 3 brothers; Dwight (1957), Gordon (1968) and Donald (2025).

Bob’s legacy lives on with his love of his family and friends and the support of his chosen charities. And, not to mention his joy in making people laugh with his funny jokes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bob’s memory to the Legion #35 of Red Deer and/or the Elks of Red Deer, AB.

Funeral Mass for Robert (Bob) Gunderman will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, Red Deer, Alberta.
