Robert G. Clark
Robert G Clark (1944 – 2024) passed away suddenly at home on Friday, November 15.
Bob was exceptionally proud of his daughter, Tracy (Daren), and son, Shane (Amanda), from Vancouver because of their many accomplishments and because they are good, honourable individuals.
Bob was born and raised in Calgary, moved to the Vancouver area where he and his late wife, Sherry, raised Tracy and Shane, then Langley where he spent several years before returning to his beloved Alberta; this time Red Deer.
He was a salesman at MGM Ford Lincoln followed by years at La-Z-Boy.
Bob played hockey, then coached juniors. He was an avid golfer, starting as a caddy in Calgary in his early teens, and finishing as a member of Riverbend, having a great time with his “cronies”. For years, Bob started most days speed-walking the oval at Collicutt. Bob’s true passion was music. He and his good high school friends played gigs and open mics for more than 50 years!
His wife, Jan Charlton, was a high school friend in Calgary before they went their separate ways – Jan to Toronto and Bob to Vancouver. They reconnected just prior to 911, and Jan moved to Red Deer from Toronto just months after saying “Don’t rush me!”
His cousin and best friend, Rob (raised together by Bob’s parents) passed just days after Bob. Their sudden departures left us all in shock.
Here’s to you, my Bobby! Thank you for a wonderful life.
