Robert "Bob" Malcolm Bailey

Robert Malcolm Bailey, affectionately known as “Bob,” of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on May 1, 2026 at the age 89 years.
Bob was born on July 13, 1936, in Regina and grew up in Pense, Saskatchewan. That’s where he first met Iris Beverly Mae Cook and later married in Wartime Saskatchewan. They lived in Estevan, Calgary, Airdrie, Delburne (where they ran the Bailey & Sons General Store), then Red Deer. Bob was a transit bus driver for over 25 years and retired in 1998.
Whether playing a game of crib, watching curling, or enjoying the camaraderie of The Old Boys Club at the Legion, Bob valued simple pleasures and the good company of family and friends.
Survived by his wife of 67 years, Beverly; his sons, Todd (Sandra), Troy (Jane), Taylor (Laura); grandchildren, Aaron, Emily, Kyle (Angel), Kate (Jared), Tyler, Jini, Jadon, Cassidy; and great grandson, Archer. Bob will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at Living Stones Church, 2020 – 40 Ave, Red Deer, AB on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
