PERRY CLAUDE BOUVIER
1958-2022
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Perry Bouvier announce his passing on June 13, 2022 after a year-long battle with cancer.
Perry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lucie, step-son Francois Couture (Erika Hage), brothers Robert (Cheryle), Ted, Raymond Couture (Gia), sisters Veronica Couture, Adeline Couture (Carl), Helene Schultz (Fred), step-mother Doris Bouvier, step-siblings Jean Braconnier (Louise), Aime Branconnier (Laura), Roland Braconnier, Priscilla Vincent (Marcel), and Vivian Cantafio (Dominic), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was predeceased by his father Armand, mother Lucienne (nee Ducharme), and his brother Fernand “Vern” Couture.
Perry was a humble man with a big heart and had a deep appreciation for the simple things in life and for the importance of family and friends – and of course a good whiskey and some blues music around a bonfire.
A life-long oil rig manager and construction worker, Perry was truly happiest when he could be puttering around the farm and his shop, or visiting with friends and family. As someone who never took life too seriously, visits with family and friends were never complete without some good-natured teasing.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation for all of Perry’s family and friends who visited, called, and texted in his final days. The smiles these kind gestures put on his face will be remembered by his family for years to come.
An informal gathering will be held on Friday, June 24 at 2:00PM at Red Deer Funeral Home and Celebration Centre to share stories and memories of Perry. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in Perry’s memory.
