Patricia Lynne Landon of Drumheller, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on June 3, 2022 at the age of 64 years.
Lynne loved growing up on a small farm just outside of Torrington, Alberta with her parents, two brothers, and her canine companion named Mickie (she absolutely loved that dog). She enjoyed riding horses and taking care of the livestock on the farm, though it was a lot of hard work. Her brother Allen was a bullrider and her brother Wayne was a well-known artist. Lynne was extremely proud of them both and often looked up to them.
Eventually Lynne moved to Mirror, Alberta, where she found love, got married, had two children, Natasha and Darcy, and a stepson, Dana. A few years later, Lynne and her family settled in Munson, Alberta.
Mom always let us know how proud of us she was. We were truly lucky to have her as our mother. She was someone you could talk with for hours and she absolutely loved sharing old memories over a cold glass of rye and Pepsi. Boy, did she love her Pepsi.
We love you so much, Mom. We are sure gonna miss your spunk, your smile, your hugs, that laugh, and most importantly we’re really gonna miss you giving us a hard time when we needed it the most. But we’re happy you are finally reunited with your parents and brothers; we know you missed them dearly.
Us kids and grandkids will continue to make you proud. Watch over us.
Love you always and forever.
Lynne is lovingly remembered by son Darcy Landon Jr. and Dana Landon (stepson); daughter Natasha Deleeuw; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by parents Gladys and Albert Schneider; stepdaughter Michelle Landon; brothers Allen and Wayne Schneider; and grandson Dylan Landon.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, 800-7015 MacLeod Trail SW, Calgary AB T2H 2K6, or online here.
Condolences for Lynne’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net.
