In Loving Memory
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Norman Arthur Wilson. He died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the age of 79 years. Norm was born on June 20, 1945, in Red Deer, AB, to Duncan and Jean Wilson and was the youngest son of three children. He married his loving wife, Elsie, in 1968, and together they raised three children.
Norm was a kind soul who would strike up a conversation with anyone he met. You couldn’t go anywhere without encountering someone he knew and stopping for a chat. He also enjoyed his afternoon coffee with his coffee group.
Norm had a love for sports. He was always up for traveling, near or far, to watch his children and grandchildren in their sporting activities. He was also a diehard Oilers and Blue Jays fan.
He is predeceased by his parents, Duncan and Jean Wilson; sister, Evelyn Sim; infant son, Kory; and son, Jack. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elsie; his children, Keverly (Wayne) Kicia and Krista (Aaron) Tait; grandchildren, Bailey, Dominique, Kassidy, Haley, and Kole; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Maci, and Kierah; brother, Donald (Annette) Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, and longtime special friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Braganza and the nursing staff on Unit 32 at Red Deer Regional Hospital for their care and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Living Stones Church, 2020 40th Ave, Red Deer, Alberta, with a reception to follow. As per Norm’s wishes, please dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Condolences to Norm’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Norm Wilson” in the subject line.
