Mrs. Norma Rudy-Meyers passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024 at the age of 81 years. She was born in Didsbury, Alberta on January 24, 1943 to Clarence and Gesine Larson.
Norma’s first husband, Mervin Rudy passed away tragically when their children were young. In 1985 she moved to Red Deer, working in IGA as produce manager.
In 1990, Norma met Mervin Meyers and they married on April 25, 1992. Together they enjoyed spending summers at their Rosewood Resort campsite in Sundre, travelling in their RV to visit friends and family in other provinces, and operating their business, Quikway Shelters until health issues arose.
Norma had a caring heart and loved doting on her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Mervin Meyers; children, Darrin, Kelvin, and Candis; grandchildren, Nicolas, Britney, Kodi, Krickett, Tony, Alex, Sarah, Tressie, and Addie; and her great grandchildren, Brielle, Ryker, Tripp, and Riggs; siblings, Bertha, Kathy, and Delbert (Sally); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her first husband, Mervin Rudy; her son, Rick; and her parents.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2:00p.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Blvd, Red Deer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.eventidefuneralchapels.com
