Natalie Therisa Hilla of Red Deer, AB passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on June 12, 2025, at the age of 66 years.
Natalie was born in Macklin, SK in December of 1958 and raised in Primate and Unity, Sask. After leaving home, Natalie moved to Edson AB and lived, raised her children and worked there for 25 years. Wanting to be closer to her children and grandchildren, she moved to Red Deer AB where she spent the last 16 years with her loving husband, Carl Leman.
Natalie loved family time and get togethers, especially all the holidays. She enjoyed camping, gardening and flowers – she had an exceptional green thumb. Loved country music, especially the old country including Alan Jackson and Johnny Cash. There was never a moment when music was not on at her home. Natalie was the best cook you ever met and always made sure everyone around was fed well!
Aside from being a mother and being so very proud of her children, she was even more proud of her grandchildren and loved being a grandmother so very much.
Natalie will be forever remembered by her husband, Carl Leman; son Clay (Camille) Hilla; daughters Amanda Hilla (Ashton)and Jennifer (Rob) Richards; grandchildren Destiny Hilla-Hartt, Dawson Hilla-Hartt, Devin Scharr and Carson Hilla; brothers Darrell (Debbie) Fischer and Fredrick Fischer (Annabelle); sisters Donna Prediger and Lorraine (Daryll) Kelly as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Nick Fischer; mother Ludvina Koehmstedt; stepfather Norman Koehmstedt; brother Lyle Fischer and sisters Caroline Winterhalt, Francis Fischer and Margaret Reese.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Natalie’s life will be held at the Pioneer Lodge, 4324 – 46 A Ave., Red Deer AB on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 – Arnot Ave., Red Deer AB T4R 3S6
