Myrna Beverley Haire nee Praill
It is with great sadness that Myrna Beverley Haire passed on March 11th, 2025 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (RDRHC), with family by her side. Myrna was born April 30th, 1941 in the small community of Oungre, Saskatchewan. She was the only child of Eda and William (Pat) Praill.
Myrna was predeceased by both of her parents and her loving husband of 54 years Lester (Les) Haire.
Myrna grew up in Oungre and then later Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Myrna took all her schooling in Weyburn and this is where she met her husband Les and where their first three children, Renita (Todd), Brendalyn (Pat) and Darcy (Bev) were born.
When Les began his career with Schlumberger of Canada they relocated to Estevan, Saskatchewan and later Red Deer, Alberta in 1969. Red Deer is where they would welcome their fourth child Dallis (Robin) and spend their remaining years.
Myrna spent her time enjoying gardening, canning, sewing, crocheting and caring for a growing family. Myrna was an avid hockey and baseball fan.
Myrna was blessed with 11 grandchildren; Tony (Nikki, Danielle (Paul), Taryn (Ian), Shane (Stacy), Brendan (Haley), Conner (Gina), Steve (Samantha), Madisyn, (Tanner), Dalyn (Kaelyn), McKenzie (Easton) and Keenan. Then later blessed with 14 great-grandchildren; Ethan, Mila, Myer, Mateo, Gavin, Keiran, Wyatt, Mason, Colter, Lauren, Brooklyn, Parks, Mayes and Miley.
Myrna enjoyed her last years living at Three Robins where she had many happy moments.
The family will be forever grateful for the countless healthcare professionals that were involved in Myrna’s care.
A service will be planned for a later date to be determined.
Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Friends of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre or a charity of one’s choice.
