Mrs. Jessie Eva Davidson passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the age of 67 years. Jessie was born on September 26, 1952 in Innisfail, Alberta, where she was raised and completed High School. She was the second oldest of Olive and George Metzger. Jessie met the love of her life, Don Davidson at the tender age of sixteen. They had been married forty-eight years and raised three daughters. Together they lived in Innisfail, Calgary, Grand Cache, Bowden and Spruce Grove, finally returning to Bowden in 2007. Jessie had a talent for crafts. She loved sewing blankets, painting her woods, and anything in between that would get her creativity going. In recent years, Jessie enjoyed her time spent at their lake lot at Gull Lake. She was her grandkids biggest cheerleader for all their sporting, school and life events. Jessie had the biggest heart for all her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Jessie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-eight years, Don Davidson, her daughters, Michelle (Tim) Rose of Calgary, Alberta, Angelia (Paul) Smith of Edson, Alberta and Renee (Scott) Neill of Red Deer, Alberta and her ten grandchildren, Matthew, Neil, Nicholas, Kailynn, Campbell, Teagan, Bryce, McKinnley, Jessa and Avery. She will also be lovingly remembered by Doug Hampton, Russell Metzger, Cheryl Metzger and Kathy Layden; as well as other extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Olive and George Metzger and a sister, Brenda Hampton. Jessie would want us to all remain safe and healthy during these uncertain times; so we will gather at a later date to hold a Celebration of her Life. If desired, Memorial Donations in Jessie’s honor may be made directly to the Crohn’s and Colitis Society at www.crohnsandcolitis.ca.
