Mrs. Darlene Marie Emmons (nee Reid)

Mrs. Darlene Marie Emmons (nee Reid), passed away in her 73rd year, in her 55th year of marriage to Steve. Darlene was active in her community; as a homemaker, and throughout her working life. After attaining her Degree, she worked with Girl Guides of Canada for many years; as well as numerous other organizations. Darlene finished her volunteer time by applying her love of sewing and quilt making, donating her work to many agencies, including but not limited to Alley Cats Rescue and to Canadian Forces Members, for which she was recognized by receiving, along with her husband Steve, the Canadian Joint Operations Command Commendation from Lieutenant-General Beare. Darlene will be sadly missed by her son, Steven ‘Lisa’, Heliena and Christy, her grandchildren, Kevin, Robert, Nikita and Stephanie, and her great grandchildren, Mason and Nixon, and sister, Gail. A farm girl at heart, she will also be missed be her furry companion, Charlie; and many extended family members including nieces, nephews, and cousins, who were more her siblings, and forever loved. A Private Service for Darlene will be held at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
