It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Audry Tannis Wilk at Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the age of 63 years. Audry was born in Port Alberni, British Columbia on December 10, 1955 to Thomas and Margaret Schwager; she had one brother and two sisters. Audry had two children, Dana and Candace. Audry was a hard working mother and loved her role as Grandma. She embraced every moment with them, turning into a child herself when they came to visit, spending countless hours playing, building or fixing toys with them. They would lighten up her day each and every time. Audry had her own Pet Salon; she would go above and beyond for her clients, never taking a day off, especially if her days off were her client’s only day to come in. She loved what she did. She enjoyed travelling, playing pool, Halloween, over doing Christmas décor and heckling people she was close to. Her dog, Marley (Puli) was her pride and joy. She loved showing off her dog that had dreads and answering people’s questions of curiosity. She made friends everywhere she went with her vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She wasn’t afraid of anyone, or anything. With her over the top sense of style, she had a lot of flair. My mom was the strongest woman I’ve ever met. – Candace. Audry will lovingly be remembered by her children, Dana (Tracy) Wood of Port Williams, Nova Scotia and Candace Wood (Chad Richard) of Lake Country, British Columbia and her grandchildren, Lily Wood and Daxxton and Drèa Richard. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Raymond (Cheryl) Schwager of Port Alberni, British Columbia and her sister, Ellen (Lloyd) Schwager of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Audry was predeceased by her parents, Clair ‘Thomas’ and Margaret (nee Klochko) Schwager and a sister, Laverne Schwager. A Celebration of Audry’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
