Mrs. Amy Allwright passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Rosehaven Care Center in Camrose, Alberta on January 26, 2020 at 100 years young. Amy was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, this is also where Amy met her future husband Leonard in 1943. Their children were born and raised wherever the family was stationed at the time with the RCAF in various places across Canada; Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Ft. Churchill, Manitoba, Camp Borden, Ontario, Barrie, Ontario and finally, in Penhold, Alberta. Amy enjoyed family, knitting, crocheting, “fancywork”, quilting, reading, romance novels, cards, bingo and babysitting. Some of her favorite places to travel were to Maui as well as England to visit family and returning to her roots in Moose Jaw. If you ever were to ask Amy her age, especially as she grew older, she’d say “sweet sixteen” with a little giggle. Amy is survived by her loving family, her daughters: Faye Mayberry, Sharon Heptonstall (Ray Bacon), Joy (Mark) Chamberlain, her sons: Butch and Dennis (Shawna), son-in-law Al Marsh, daughter-in-law Wendy (Gerry) Favelle and her youngest sister Winnie Hayes as well as twelve loving and caring grandchildren, sixteen loving great grandchildren, four beautiful great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Amy was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Walter, her husband Leonard, a daughter Hilda Marsh, a son-in-law Glen Mayberry, her sisters, Lily Boyer and Rosie Elson and her brothers, Johnny and Charlie Lincoln. As a family we will strive to continue Amy’s legacy of love!
