Mr. Walter ‘Wally’ Morris Ormerod

Mr. Walter ‘Wally’ Morris Ormerod of Red Deer, Alberta lost his lengthy battle with cancer on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the age of 62 years. Wally was born on May 22, 1957 and was raised in Toronto, Ontario. After going to college for only three days, he was still very successful – an Owner of A&W from 1988 – 2017, President of the Caroline Hotel, Financial Advisor for BMO Nesbitt Burns for more than thirty-five years, and co-owner of Walway Waste. Wally enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, boating to Sylvan Lake, and travelling to his second home in Cabo San Lucas. Wally will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Yvonne Ormerod (nee Mitten); his son, Robert (Victoria) Roth; and his daughter, Aimee (Paul) Rea, all of Red Deer and his grandchildren, Lola Roth, Bodhi Roth, Kohen Rea, and Lyndon Rea. He will also be dearly missed by his parents, Walter ‘Wally’ and Flora Ormerod; his siblings, Joann (Danny) Kozina, Debbie Foster, Shawna Ormerod and Tommy Ormerod; and his nephew and business partner, Wayne (Jeanette) Mitten. Wally was predeceased by a sister, Teresa Ormerod and a brother-in-law, Bert Foster.
