It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Severino ‘Cisco’ Fabretti of Red Deer, Alberta at Villa Marie on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the age of 89 years. He was born Severino Plinio Fabretti, on December 30, 1929 to parents, Luigia and Giovanni Fabretti, in Libourne, France. The first twenty-one years of his life were lived in France, Italy and the Belgium Congo, Africa. Upon moving to Canada in 1950, he was nicknamed ‘Cisco’ thereafter. If there was a definition of the name, it would read: “He who brings love, laughter, happiness, hard work, honesty and reliability to everyone he meets.” Cisco was the greatest example of a father, husband, friend and co-worker anyone could have. He passed away peacefully and with content, surrounded with love from family and friends, in his home of five years, Villa Marie. Cisco will be missed by all who knew him, but most of all by his family; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Sara Fabretti; his grandson, Anthony; and his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jocelyn Fabretti; his granddaughter, Amanda, and his grandson, Mitchell and his wife, Madison; as well as his great granddaughter, Myla. Cisco will also be greatly missed by his brother and sister, Lucien and Jacqueline Fabretti of France. Cisco was predeceased by the love of his life and wife, Shirley Fabretti. A Celebration of Cisco’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
