Mr. Reinhardt Henry ‘Reiny’ Krueger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Reinhardt Henry ‘Reiny’ Krueger of Drayton Valley, Alberta at Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Reiny was born in 1931, in Edmonton, Alberta. He was raised in Carvel Corner – later in Stony Plain, Alberta, with his parents, Gottleib (George) and Elizabeth Krueger, along with six siblings, George, Richard, Wilbert, Betty, Taylor Coe (Rita) and Della. Reiny would later meet and marry the love of his life in Edmonton, Alberta, Joyce Mae Burrows. Reiny and Joyce would eventually settle in Drayton Valley, Alberta and raise their five daughters and one son. He had a successful business in Drayton Valley; where he was able to use his skills as a Technician and businessman. Reiny could fix anything. He was an active member of the community; as a Rotary Member, Model Airplane Club, CB Radio Club, Standing member of the Lutheran Church and bowling and golf; and later on was involved in the DV Seniors Club. Reiny will be lovingly remembered by his son, Curtis (Arlene) Krueger of St. Albert; his daughters, Brenda Malone of Red Deer, Janet (Tracy) Peters of Delburne, April Carefoot of Alberta Beach, Shelley (Scott) McLeod of Leduc and Lana Haynes of Edmonton; as well as his fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers, Wilbert (Imelda) Krueger of Stony Plain and George (Lillian) Krueger of Kelowna; his sisters, Rita (Taylor Coe) Krueger and Della Krueger, all of Vancouver. Reiny was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joyce Krueger; a brother, Richard Krueger and a sister, Betty Matthews.
