Mr. Gregory 'Greg' Larson

Mr. Gregory ‘Greg’ Larson passed away following a prolonged illness, at the Misericordia Community Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the age of 77 years. Greg was born on January 26, 1941 at Wetaskiwin, Alberta; the fourth child of Sidney Oliver and Beatrice Marian (nee Campfield) Larson. He attended school in Star, Clive and Mirror, Alberta. Greg spent the majority of his life working as a Truck Driver. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, a game of cards, and playing practical jokes on family and friends. Greg will be deeply missed but always remembered in the hearts of his family and long time friends. Greg will be lovingly remembered by his partner of thirty-five years, Heather Flewwelling, his sister, Carol Albers of Lacombe, Alberta, his brother-in-law, Ken Hilsabeck of Edmonton, Alberta and his brother-in-law, Morris (Hazel) Flewwelling of Red Deer; as well as nineteen nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Greg was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Elaine Hilsabeck and Roseanne Larson, a brother, Sam Greaves and his wife, Joyce Greaves, and a nephew, Steven Hilsabeck and his wife, Dianne Hilsabeck. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews United Church, 1A Fieldstone Drive, Spruce Grove, Alberta on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the Mirror Cemetery, Mirror, Alberta on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Greg’s honor may be made directly to the Alberta Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.ca or 17312 – 107 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5S 1E9, or to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
