Morris John Riviere

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we account the passing of Morris John Riviere on June 1, 2024.
Morris is survived by his sons, Morris Riviere Jr. (Patricia Riviere), Todd Riviere (Jackie Fleck) and Shawn Riviere. Grandchildren, Blake, David, Ayla and Bella. He has one remaining brother, Morgan Riviere.
He is predeceased by his wife Mary Riviere, March 2019. Grandchildren, Curtis and Breanne. Also, siblings Catherine, Jardine, Keith, Patricia and Darcy.
Morris was born to John and Bernice in Cornwall, Ontario, in the fall of 1950. After moving around and coming to Alberta, he married his childhood friend and love of his life Mary.
Morris did a variety of jobs in his lifetime. He worked for the department of highways in Longview and Millerville. He cut down trees in Black Diamond and Millerville. He worked for Propane expert after moving to Red Deer. For many years ran his own business in Red Deer, shovelling snow in winter, doing landscaping in summer and picking up any other odd jobs he could to help people out.
Morris enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His grandchildren were a blessing in his life, and he treasured his time with them.
Morris enjoyed playing bingo when he lived in Calgary. He loved to go camping when he had the opportunity. He always found time to work on cars and liked to buy and sell them. He made it known that is favorite classic car was the Pontiac Parisienne.
Funeral service to be handled by Eventide Funeral Home. Celebration of life will be held at Red Deer Victory Church, 98 Oberlin Ave, Red Deer on Saturday June 8 at 11:30 am. Viewing to take place prior to the service at 10:00 am. Burial to follow the service at Alto Reste Cemetery. A light luncheon with be held back at the Church following the internment.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or the Red Deer Victory Church, POD fund, in memory of or Morris Riviere.
