Mila Petrik

Mila Petrik of Red Deer passed away December 1, 2023, at the age of 72 years. Mila was born March 26, 1951, in Krivoklat Czech Republic. Mila and his younger brother Mirek were raised and went to school in Prague. Mila had a heart for adventure and enjoyed traveling. Setting off with his friend Kaja June 3, 1969, to London England. Where he later met Gail. Gail and Mila married May 1, 1972. Mila emigrating to Canada March 11, 1978, and landed in Abbotsford. Later they moved to Red Deer. Mila and Gail continued to travel, most notably, across Canada, England, Spain, Disneyland, Egypt, Czech Republic, and several trips to Japan to visit their son David.
Mila will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gail; son, David Petrik; nephew, Tomas Petrik (and family); niece, Martina Petrik (and family); sister-in-law Zenith Braun; other family members and many dear friends.
A service for Mila will be held at the Pioneer Lodge (4324 46a Ave, Red Deer, AB T4N 6S7) on February 9th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Corner of 47 Ave. and 44 Street.
