Michael Visser
1950 – 2022

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Visser on Thursday, July 21st. Mike was born in Holland in April, 1950 to Detty and Taeke Visser, then moved with his family to Holland Marsh, Ontario. Mike was a very talented hockey player in his youth. After heading out west, he eventually settled in Devon, Alberta. His passions were restoring old trucks, racing cars, driving a tractor trailer, and operating a very successful cab company in Devon, Alberta until his passing. Mike was predeceased by his father, Taeke Visser, brother, Harold Visser and niece Lisa Visser. He is survived by his mother Detty Smit, brothers Peter (Faye), Sam (Susanne), Ed (Michelle), sister Tena (Terry) Griffin, his children Jeff (Cindy) Visser, Marty Visser, Jodi Visser, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends in the communities of Devon and Calmar.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2 pm at the Devon Hotel.  All are welcome.
