Mike passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, July 18, 2021 in the Red Deer Hospice at the age of 66 years. He spent his final days doing what he loved…. hanging out with his son listening to oldies music.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Evelyn, brothers; Eric (Joan) and Kerry, and his wife, Janet. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his son Matt (Katrina), sisters Linda and Barbara (Glenn), brother-in-law Carl (Carol), sister-in-law Lynda (Bill), as well as many other family and friends.

Mike was born on August 1, 1954 in Ponoka. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Ponoka High School. He became an electronic technician and also had a passion to fix everything he could (which was passed down to his son). He loved classic cars and oldies music.

The family is sincerely grateful to the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for their wonderful care and attention during Mike’s final days.
