Matthew Eldon Bell of Penhold, Alberta passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the age of 35 years. Matthew was born in Red Deer, Alberta. He was a man of many interests. An avid athlete, Matthew relished all sports but had a particular passion for hockey, his number one hobby. Working as a disc jockey allowed him to combine his love of music with a career. Matthew loved animals as well, having owned numerous pets. He also enjoyed videography and working with computers. Matthew is survived by his mother Elda Bell of Red Deer, father Gordon Saunders of Arkansas, USA; sisters Terri-Lynne Bell and Deanna Bell of Red Deer and brother Daryl Saunders of Wainwright. A memorial service for Matthew will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 1 pm at Deer Park Alliance Church, 2960 – 39 Street, Red Deer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Central Alberta Humane Society, 4505 – 77 St., Red Deer AB T4P 2J1 or to the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton.
