Marlene Groves

It is with deep love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Betty Marlene Groves on July 28, 2025.

Born Oct 28, 1943 in Wetaskawin, Marlene then lived in Brooks and Red Deer, creating a beautiful life full of music, family and gardening. She shared her love for cooking and playing the piano with her friends and family at every opportunity. She will be remembered most for her wonderful sense of humor, devotion to family, and musical talent.

She is survived by her son Robert, daughter Shannon (Curt), grandchildren Kody (Heather), Nick, Carter (Kesha) and MacKenzie (Mason). She was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence Groves.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held on Aug 11th at the Eventide Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Condolences to the family may be made by visiting www.eventidefuneralchapels.com
