Marjorie Conway (nee) Peach of Penhold passed away suddenly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on July 21, 2024, at the age of 77 years, surrounded by her loving family.

Marjorie was previously from Heart’s delight, NL, and moved with her family to Churchill Falls, Labrador, where she spent quite a large part of her adult life. When her husband Phil retired, they decided to follow their children to Penhold, Alberta, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law. Marjorie was a woman of many talents, and started her career at a young age as a nursing assistant, plus home care worker. She had previously worked in the offices in the camps in Fort McMurray, where she retired at the age of 70.

Marjorie was truly an inspiration to everyone she met. If you were her friend, you were her friend for life. Marjorie doted on her family; her family is what motivated her every day. Marjorie was cherished and blessed with many hats: wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. Marjorie was a constant in so many lives she touched, and she will be missed and loved. Go now and rest with your family, and know that you will always have a piece of our hearts with you, forever loved. “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue”.

Marjorie is survived by her husband Philip Conway, and precious fur baby “Bear”. Son Duane Conway; daughter Marlo (Troy) Heffern; Grandchildren Jay (Selena) Kriegel, Natasha (Cody) Heffern, Emily Heffern; 4 great-grandchildren Luka, Luna, Everet, Laura; Brother Hector (Patsy); sister Yvonne George; Sister-in-law Mary Conway; Brother-in-laws Bill (Darlene) Conway, Stan (Debbie) Conway; Numerous nephews, nieces, aunt’s, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her father, Leander Peach; mother Greta Peach; Sister June Sooley; brothers-in-law Rick George, and Gerard Conway.

A celebration of her life will follow at a later date.
