It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marie Anna Cardinal on November 22, 2018 at the age of 81 years at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. Marie peacefully passed away while surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born in 1937 in Govan SK and married Albert John Cardinal on October 31st, 1959. Throughout her life, Marie felt most at home in both Carstairs and Red Deer AB. She created and maintained a lovely home for the seven children that her and John were blessed with. Marie not only created a home for her full household of Cardinals, but for every person that had the privilege of being part of her life. She was able to touch the hearts and create unique relationships and memories with each and every one of her loved ones. Marie is survived by her seven children, listed eldest to youngest, Lorette (Lori), Cheryl, Dawn, John, Yvette, Christine (Chris), and Deanna (Dee); sons-in-law Duncan, Hank, and Bryan; seven loving grandchildren, listed from eldest to youngest, Amanda, Jessica, Trisha, Robert, Michelle, Kara, Benjamin as well as Chris’s Forster children, Sing and Melody. She is also survived by her younger brother Kenneth (Kenny) Cooper as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Heaven has gained another angel, but Marie is now able to rest peacefully with her late husband John Cardinal and her eldest grandson Bruce Cardinal. Details regarding a memorial service to celebrate Marie’s life will be announced in the spring of 2019.
