It is with very saddened hearts that the family of Margot Marilyn Hanson announces her passing on Thursday, Dec. 1 in her home in Red Deer, Alberta.

Our dear mother, grandmother and friend was called home to her Lord and Saviour after courageously battling multiple sclerosis for many years. Margot will be most remembered for her cheerful disposition and generous heart as well as her witty sense of humour and the magnitude of grace and emotional strength she possessed.

She had great love and appreciation for all of God’s creatures, music, the beauty of nature and the great outdoors. She will always be remembered with love by her son Corey (Cindy) Hanson of Calgary, her daughter Richelle (Vernon) Boscher of Drayton Valley, her beloved grandchildren Jaiden, Lexi, Kasia, Ty and Zoey, her lifelong friend Claire (Murray) Carefoot, her brother Dale (Diana) Smith of Camrose, as well as numerous treasured friends. Margot is predeceased by her parents Glen and Gladys Smith, brother Victor, as well as her grandparents.

A memorial service will be held for Margot at the Sunnybrook United Church in Red Deer date to be announced. Memorial donations in Margot’s honour may be made directly to the M.S. Society 105 – 4807 50 Ave, Red Deer, Ab T4N 4A5
