She was also survived by her son, Alexander Gough (Barbara), her granddaughters – Monisha Gough Scott (Andrew) and Sarah Gough Armas and great grandchildren – Chloe and Nathan Scott and her great granddaughter, Samantha Armas. Margaret also left to mourn, nephews Thomas Bennett (children Allison Bennett and Michael Bennett) and Ross Boden & niece, Shirley Denham (Gren), their children, step-daughter, Kay Curie, and dear friend, Wally Niskanen.
We are privileged and blessed to have enjoyed having 5 generations within our family, something that was not taken for granted! We so loved having her with us for numerous family dinners & milestone birthday celebrations as well as spending time with her at the Family cottage on the French River. Mom/Grandma/Big Grandma LOVED being part of pedicure and manicure parties with her granddaughters, drives to the country (which this country girl loved), BBQ pizza parties hosted by the Larsens and ANY family gatherings. Over the years, much of her time was spent playing cribbage with fellow card sharks (Downtown House, tournaments, Collegeside), cheering on her beloved Blue Jays, as well as watching Curling, Figure skating & Cirque du Soleil (live)! She was an avid fisher, skilled quilter/seamstress, cross stitcher, rug hooker, gardener and cook/baker (especially blueberry and peach pies)! She will forever be in our hearts, never to be forgotten, as she was a special person to all family members & friends because of her warmth, kindness and beautiful spirit!
As per her request, there will be no visitation and no funeral. In her memory, donations can be made to Gaetz Memorial United Church, Red Deer, Bethany Collegeside, the Canadian Heart and Stroke foundation or to a charity of your own choosing.
