Remembering the life of Margaret Elizabeth Callihoo.  Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Gramma, Gigi and Friend to many

Born in Drumheller, Alberta on September 24^th, 1944 to Gordon and Peggy Cook.  Margaret was the second of the five Cook girls.  She loved her sisters Betty, Mae, Jean and Judy dearly.

Margaret was to meet, fall in love and marry her lifelong love and friend Don Callihoo in 1974, in Fort McMurry, Alberta.  Together they blended their two families and then there was eight!  Don, Margaret with the six kids Danny, Colleen (Gary), Mitchell (Loretta), Christine, Susanne and Joe (Kelly).

Margaret lived a life of farming, travel, sewing, baking, gardening, camping, scrapbooking and being surrounded by her family and friends.  The woman loved company!

She will be fondly and deeply missed by her children, grandchildren (14), great grandchildren (6) and of course mom’s sisters and many dear friends.

Mom was recently widowed as dad passed on July 30^th, 2025.  This was a very huge loss for her.

A joint Celebration of Life for our parents Don & Margaret will be held at Willow Greens Golf Course late spring of 2026.  Date will be updated here when confirmed.

In lieu of flowers Margaret would consider it an honor to donate to Stars in her name.
