Lorraine L. Warkentin
January 5, 1931 – December 18, 2022
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Henry Warkentin, her daughters Elsie Bushman & Sharon Britton & daughter-in-law Sarah Warkentin.
She is survived by her children and their spouses – Ed (Marian) Warkentin, Don (Denise) Warkentin, Lynn (Elwood) Reavie, her 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Lorraine was born in Edmonton, raised in Winnipeg, where she met her beloved husband Henry at Bible College in North Battleford. After their marriage in Winnipeg they lived in various small towns of Saskatchewan finally settling down in Nokomis. Henry passed away at the young age of 38, leaving Lorraine to raise her young children aged 5 – 13 on her own. She moved to Red Deer in 1992 to be closer to family. She enjoyed repairing dolls, playing accordian, and doing beautiful artwork with chalk pastels which she shared with friends and family. The family is very grateful for the wonderful, loving care mom (grandma) received at the Red Deer Hospice in her final days.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Spring. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory, please give to the Red Deer Hospice Society. Condolences may be left for the family at www.eventidefuneralchapels.com
