Lorna Joan McTavish (nee Doupe)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Lorna Joan McTavish (nee Doupe) at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre after a brief illness on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Lorna was born and raised in the Wetaskiwin area. She trained as a nurse at the Edmonton General Hospital and worked at Michener Centre for many years until her retirement. Lorna loved to travel, camp, garden, golf, knit, spend time with family and friends and watch the Blue Jays play baseball. Lorna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Stewart, Sandra and Donald; and her grandchildren, Caitlin and Ethan (Courtney) Barron. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Rodney Doupe, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lorna was predeceased by her husband, Robert and her sister, Ann Cookson. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
