1959 – 2018
Mrs. Barbara ‘Loree’ Blair of Red Deer, Alberta passed away, unexpectedly at her home, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 58 years. Loree was born and raised at Ponoka, Alberta to Bill and Barbara Farnham. She took her schooling at Ponoka and was very athletic. She especially enjoyed basketball and volleyball, Chariot racing with her family, and riding cows in the all girls rodeo. She moved to an acreage in the Leslieville area, where she had her own “Creekside Greenhouse” and with her family grew their own produce for market. She loved horses, all kinds of animals, bikes and the outdoors. She was very creative and sewed all of her children’s Halloween costumes every year. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, including knitting and ceramics. She was very motherly, genuine, kind and helpful. She had a spirit of community and loved helping those who are less fortunate. Loree will be lovingly remembered by her children: son, Dalom Blair (Randi Conn) and their children, Jacob Blair, Faith Blair, Tagg Smith, Austin Smith and Zoie Smith; son, Daren (Ana Yareli) Blair and their children, Jayden and Ana Aliya Blair; daughter, Kayley (Scott) Anderson and their son, Harrison Anderson; and son, Kelty (Khrystelle) Blair and their children, Olivia, Dominic and Damon Blair. She will also be sadly missed by numerous other family and many dear friends. Loree was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Barbara Farnham, and two siblings, Beva Hamilton and Jay Farnham. A Celebration of Loree’s Life will be held at the Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the summer of 2018 at the family plot, Ponoka Cemetery, Ponoka, Alberta.
