It with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Mary Feenstra at the age of 75. After a short but brave battle since being diagnosed with Mesothelioma, Linda passed with her family by her side.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Wilbur and Sophie and brother Ralph. She will be forever remembered by her husband Gregg, son Joshua (Jessica), daughter Mary-Beth (Tugger), grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
Linda was born in Vermillion, AB to Wilbur and Sophie Feenstra on May 21, 1948. Linda had two older siblings; Ralph, Judy, as well as two younger siblings Beverly and Fay. Their home was filled with love and compassion.
In her youth Linda loved to travel and took time to explore Europe and various locations throughout North America. From backpacking to hotel jumping, RVing and a luxurious cruise throughout the Caribbean islands in 2014, and an exploration of Iceland in 2018 with her sisters and nieces.
In 1989, Linda and family officially put down roots and settled in Red Deer where they made their home. There was a lot of love, laughter and food to go around. Where all the friends, family and neighbours knew they always had a place to go. She always made sure all of her guests were full and happy, having snack trays readily available for anyone stopping in to say hello.
Linda worked for Canada Post for over 31 years before retiring and pursuing other hobbies and occupations. She passed time at Ever-Green Greenhouse, Barge Landing (Fort McMurray) and for the Commissionaires in Red Deer. She was also an active member within other various clubs and organizations.
Linda will be remembered for her quick wit and subtle humour. She was always able to bring light to the conversation and see the bright side of the situation. She welcomed all with loving open arms.
