Linda Marie Ligtelyn

It is with heavy hearts we share the loss of Linda Ligtelyn, on December 26, 2020, at the age of 62.
Linda was born in Regina, Saskatchewan to Kathleen and Murray Roberts. As a child Linda along with her parents and older sister, Gwen moved to Edmonton in 1966. Linda was an active member of Job’s Daughters, Bethel 25. Linda started her career at Safeway working in the warehouse and in stores in Edmonton and Victoria retiring in 2018 after 45 years with Safeway.
Linda met the love of her life and best friend Casper Ligtelyn, raising two wonderful children Kristin and Christopher. They spent much of their time travelling as a family to Linda’s favourite places; Disneyland, Hawaii, Europe, Victoria and Moose Jaw. Linda loved being an Oma to her five grandchildren, she enjoyed spending time with them baking, watching movies and taking them to her favourite vacation spots.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years Casper and her two beautiful children, Kristin Mauro (Jonathan) grandchildren Luisa, Francine, Anthony; Christopher (Karissa) grandchildren Chelsea, Hailey. Her cherished sister Gwen Elliott (Keith), Aunt Avis Tickner as well as many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Kathleen and Murray Roberts and Uncle Stan Tickner.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Alberta Humane Society.
Linda will always be remembered for bringing love into the world and making it a better place.
