Linda Diane Victor passed away quietly at Red Deer Regional Hospital September 1, 2023, at 76 years of age. Linda was born June 28, 1947.

Linda was predeceased by her parents (Louis & Hazel Victor, nee Skage), sister (Judy & Lee Davies) brothers (Robert & Brian).

Linda is survived by her sister (Louise Victor & Layne) nephew (Ken & Sabrina Davies), great niece Tara, great nephew (Brandon & Kristie) and great-great nephew William.

Linda lived a full and productive life. She faced many physical challenges but did not let what some would call “disabilities” stop her.  Linda volunteered at the RDH for over 15 years. She also was a staunch advocate for people with disabilities, sending many letters over the years to the Mayor, the Premier and the action bus program in Red Deer. She spoke at many seminars on this subject as well.  Linda had many hobbies, she loved painting ceramics, shopping, road trips and vacations. Thanks to her wonderful Dad, she travelled to Disneyland several times, yearly visits to Phoenix, a cruise down the Mexican Baja and her favorite place, Las Vegas. Her recent undertaking was boxing, she worked so hard and became quite good at it.

Above all Linda loved and cherished her family the most in this world. She was the oldest and took that seriously as she watched over them. Linda also had another family of caregivers and long-time friends at her residence whom she loved, some as long as 25 years. Special mention to Carol Kitch, lifelong roommate, Diana Melanson, Nor-Ana Asil, Shanlee Acebedo, Doreen Mardian, Rachel Ycu, Rada Bila, Dolores Sabado, Christine Bayona, Ricki Retotait, Lourdes Labrador, Gladys Rigoban, Robyn Khudayberdieva, Emma Ludripas.  These special people are no less family than any of us and grieve with us for this loss of a vibrant & caring woman.

She was loved by many and will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, 2:00pm till 5pm at the Westerner Grounds Chalet, Red Deer.
