Leslie (Joan) Hollman
Leslie (Joan) Hollman of Red Deer, AB, gracefully passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 75, with her husband and daughters by her side. Joan was born to parents, James and Phyllis Ramsay on July 12, 1946, in Calgary, AB. She graduated from Bonnie Doon Composite High School in Edmonton, AB and went on to receive her Nursing Certificate. After a brief career in nursing, she began a long and successful career at Capilano College in North Vancouver, BC. She was lovingly married to James Leo Hollman, and they were together for 50 wonderful years. Joan is survived by her six children: Michael (Diane) Hollman, Darren (Patricia) Hollman, Cory (Tony) Sankovic, Ronda (Greg) Nedelec, Lana Sherick and Debbie (Don) MacIver. She was fiercely proud to be blessed with 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 more blessings on the way. She is survived by her brother Jim (Maureen) Ramsay and Anne (Jim) Edgson. For all those who were touched by Joan’s love and beauty, they knew how important family and friends were to her. She believed her family was her legacy and said, “No matter where life takes us, it begins and ends with family”. Joan had a beautiful relationship with her Lord and Saviour and knew and trusted in His power. She was our angel here on earth and now our angel in Heaven. Funeral services for Joan will be held at Eventide Funeral Home in Red Deer, AB on Tuesday, August 17th at 1pm. Joan asked in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Red Deer Cancer Clinic in her name. That would be greatly appreciated.
