LEEP TOY

Peacefully on December 21, 2023, Leep passed away at the age of 86 surrounded by family at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jean.  Leep will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elsie; son Gene; sister Wanda (Jim); brother William (Ruby); brother Fred (Marie); nieces Mayan (Rob), Katherine, Lauren; and many cousins and friends. 

Leep immigrated to Canada from China in 1952 and attended school in Weekes, Saskatchewan. Leep and his family lived in Red Deer, Edmonton, Griswold and Sandy Lake, Manitoba.   He and his family returned to Red Deer in 1987.  Leep was a restaurateur for many years owning and running various restaurants in Manitoba and Alberta. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Eventide Funeral Home, 4820 – 45 Street, Red Deer, Alberta. 

Following the service internment will be at Alto Reste Cemetery.  

The family is sincerely grateful to the staff of the Red Deer Hospice and Red Deer Regional Hospital for their care in Leep’s last year.  

Guests are invited to join the family for a reception at  3:00 pm at Dragon City Buffet, 2325 50 Ave, Red Deer
