Laura Ashton Saik

Smart, beautiful, immensely talented and so very kind to every being she encountered, Laura Ashton Saik, our “Lola”, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 32 years.
“Lola” had a laugh that was infectious, and a hug that would remind you that you had just been deeply seen, heard, and touched by an extraordinary young woman. She loved with her ‘beautiful, wild soul’ wide open.
Never shy, nor a wallflower, “Lola” commanded every room she entered. She was ‘art’, and she lived her life as an ‘art’ form. She was a radiant beam of love and light. She was magic!
An artist of many genres, a fashion maven and a spell-binding storyteller, “Lola” was a force of nature! She found beauty in the most obscure places, and she had the power to convince you of the same.
She travelled near and far spontaneously and she sought and found adventure everywhere she went. She could not be contained. We were all so privileged to be her family for the brief ‘moment’ we had with her.
She loved her nieces and nephews, her brother and sisters, her Mom & Dad, aunts and uncles, cousins, grand-parents and many, many more lucky souls.
Laura, our “Lola” will live on in her friends and family. She is not gone. She is free and unfettered. She is deeply loved.
