Kenn and Elaine married in 1963 and moved to Red Deer where he worked in the oil and gas industry. Ten years later, they moved to Penticton, BC where they owned and operated the Jubilee Motel. Kenn was an avid member of the Penticton Stock Car Club during that time. After 20 years at the Sylvan Lake gas plant, he retired and worked part-time with Bud Haynes Auction in Red Deer. Kenn and Elaine then moved to Kelowna to enjoy their retirement. After Elaine’s passing, Kenn found love a second time with Dot and they had three happy years together before her passing.
