Keely Ann Aymont
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keely Aymont, a beloved mother, wife daughter, sister, and friend. Keely left this world peacefully on March 1 surrounded by family, after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Barry and Eileen Harper and Gordon Taylor.
Keely will be lovingly remembered by her Husband Justin; Children, Madelyn and Beckett; Parents, David and Joanne Harper, Sisters Jill (Jeff) Murray, and Ashley (Kenneth) Benson; special Sister in law, Savannah (Dylan) Svederus; Nieces and Nephews, Brendan, Emma and Rhyan Murray, as well as Lilyanna and Jacob Benson; Grandmother Linda Taylor; and countless cousins and close friends.
Keely grew up in Wetaskiwin, Alberta in a very close family where she enjoyed dance, hockey, and football, and had a very tight-knit group of friends. After high school Keely moved to Calgary to be closer to her sister Jill, and eventually settled in Red Deer after meeting the love of her life Justin. Youngest sister Ashley moved to Red Deer shortly after, as the 3 sisters could never be far apart. Keely and Justin were married in 2010, followed by the birth of Madelyn in 2012 and Beckett in 2014. The four of them were building a beautiful life together before Keely was diagnosed with cancer and taken from us too soon. Keely could not have dreamt of a better partner than Justin, who steadfastly stood beside her through everything life threw at them.
Keely loved being a Mom, Sister, Auntie, and friend. She was one of the best. Her bond with her sisters was and still is so incredibly special, as was her relationship with her nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, cousins, aunts and uncles, and extended family. She was also one of the most loyal friends anyone could ask for. There was truly nobody who came in contact with Keely who wasn’t left with a lasting impression of kindness. She will certainly be missed by many!
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Harvest Centre at The Westerner. To view the service via livestream, please visit
