Kathy Lynn Knowles of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on July 26, 2024 at the age of 63 years.
Kathy was born on September 4, 1960, in Edmonton, Alberta. Her family moved to St. Albert, Alberta during her early years and later planted roots in the Sylvan Lake/Red Deer area where she would go on to graduate from Camille J. Lerouge in 1978. In 1984, Kathy married the love of her life, Dean, at Sacred Heart Church in Red Deer. She made lasting memories while working for AGT from 1978 to 1985 and Cadbury from 1998 to 2010. Cadbury was a fitting place of work since her favourite food was chocolate. Kathy filled her retirement years volunteering for the Red Deer Hospice and Festival of Trees, travelling, playing pickleball, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dean, son Chad (Courtney) and two grandchildren Blakely and Dax. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings Kim, Brian (Millie), Brenda (Tom), Candy (Allan), Crystal (Steve), brother-in-law Brad (Irene), sister-in-law Shannon, her nieces, nephews and friends.
Kathy was predeceased by her son Marshal, mother Bea, father Rod, mother-in-law Pat and father-in-law Jack.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Crossroads Church (SW corner of 32 St and highway 2), 38105 – Range Road 275, Red Deer County, AB on on Thursday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed.
