Karen Marie Gallant

March 20, 1952 – March 17, 2023

Karen Gallant passed peacefully in her sleep on March 17, 2023. Predeceased by her loving father, Bernard Gallant. Leaving to mourn her mother, Bridget Gallant; sisters Deborah (Maxine), Rhonda (Andrew), and Cora; brothers Clayton, Ronald, and Leonard (Jillian). Also mourning are her children Mikiki, Ross (Shannon), and Kate (Mike); and grandchildren Sakura, Theodore, Kohana, and Frederick.

Karen was born in Stephenville, Newfoundland and lived at times in Black Duck Siding, Outer Cove, Whale Cove, Enderby, and Red Deer. She made masses of friendships and touched many lives in every place she visited and lived. She taught at schools in several towns and in a variety of grades and subjects. Her passion was art, painting and pottery in particular. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts and playing cards. She loved children and had an incredible way of engaging them, especially her grandchildren.

According to Karen’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Instead, after a private family viewing in Red Deer, AB, a celebration of life will occur in Stephenville, NL where her ashes will be taken at a later point.

She was love and she was loved. She will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
