Judith Lenore Carroll (nee McKee), born May 7, 1949, passed away peacefully after a brave battle with Parkinson’s Disease on March 19 at the age of 74. With her, were friends Jessie Lloyd and her friend of 52 years, Monika Brunnhofer.
Originally from Innisfail, she moved to Calgary in her early twenties and, after a brief time in Fort McMurray, settled in Red Deer. She retired after more than 30 years working in the Red Deer Regional Hospital as an operating room technician. She enjoyed many crafts and was talented at crocheting, painting and gardening.
She met her husband Padraig “Pat” Carroll in Red Deer. The two loved to travel and took many trips over the years, including to his home in Ireland. Together, they made a home which included many cats over the years.
Judy was a cat lover and took wonderful care of her beloved Ranger, who recently passed. She is predeceased by Pat and her parents Robert and Minnie (nee Lantz) McKee. She is survived by her cousins in Saskatchewan and her in-laws in Ireland.
Judy will be remembered for her vivaciousness, humour, independence and bravery.
On behalf of Judy, Jessie and Monika would like to thank Dr. Rautenbach and the staff of Unit 3200 at Extendicare Mitchner Hill for their kindness and help
