It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Lynn Baird who passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre following a brief illness on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the age of 69 years.

Joyce was born in Lacombe AB and grew up in Bentley AB with her parents and 7 siblings. The family relocated to Red Deer AB in 1973 where she met husband Garry and they were married in 1974.

Through the years Joyce and Garry enjoyed camping, fishing and being out in the west country with family friends. Her door was always open, and the coffee pot was always on for those who wanted to stop by and enjoy great conversation.

Joyce will be fondly remembered by her son Gary (Donna); grandchildren Heather and Caiden; twin sister Judy (Don); sisters Sheila (Darwin) and Donna and brother John as well as numerous nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband Garry in 2023; mother Sheila in 2019; father John in 1999; brother Ron in 2004 and sisters Beth in 1990 and Val in 2022 as wall as father-in-law “Nip” in 2020.

There will be a celebration of life for both Garry and Joyce Baird held at a later date, details to be announced.
