Joseph "Joe" Kenny Drybones

Joseph Kenny Drybones of Red Deer AB passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on July 16, 2025 at the age of 62 years. Joe was born in Yellowknife NWT. When Joe was eight years old his foster family moved to Edmonton and then moved to Calgary. Fortunately, the family were a loving Christian family where Joe was able to formulate his values and his strong morals. In his early teens, Joe was placed with Don and Lois Pederson at Red Deer. Joe was really loved by the Pedersons, Louis, had a tremendous amount of grace for him. Joe was well known by his family and friends for his great sense of humor and his pleasant demeanor. Joe is survived by his foster Dad Eckhart Augustiny, who lives in Gibson on the Sunshine coast; Joyce, who lives in the Vancouver area and Janet, who lives in Calgary; good friends Pastor George Bradley and Terry Markovich as well as other family and friends. Joe was predeceased by his birth mother Drybones; foster mother Gurtrude Augustiny; foster brother Johnny; and foster parents Don and Lois Pedersen. A graveside service will be held at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer County AB on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Condolences may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net.
