Jolyn Esther Swanson
December 13, 1973 – July 11, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jolyn Esther Swanson on July 11, 2025, at the age of 51. Jolyn was vibrant, creative, and full of personality—always marching to the beat of her own drum and bringing colour to every chapter of her life.

Throughout her life, Jolyn moved through many phases, each filled with new interests and people. While her inner circle remained small, she gave wholeheartedly to those she loved. Known for giving the best hugs, her warmth and quick wit left lasting impressions. Jolyn was funny, charismatic, and strong in her convictions—always true to herself, and never afraid to speak her mind.

Her passing was sudden and is deeply felt. She leaves behind a rich, complex legacy that will be remembered with love, laughter, and gratitude.

She is deeply missed by her children, Shae Ten Hove and Jacob Ten Hove; her parents, Joan and Lyn Swanson; her brothers and their wives, Phil and Mandy Swanson, and Rob and Alene Swanson; as well as extended family and close friends from many different seasons of her life.

In accordance with Jolyn’s wishes, there will be no public funeral. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
